Course Description

Embark on an exciting coding journey with our Python Summer Camp, specifically designed for teenagers aged 11-13, and discover one of the world's most popular coding languages! The camp will be delivered in a dynamic and engaging format, ensuring a fun, interactive, and hands-on learning experience. Throughout the camp, they will have the opportunity to learn and explore: - The fundamental concepts of programming, starting with an understanding of what a programming language is and how the computer interprets code. - The significance of Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and why they are crucial for coders. - Essential programming concepts, such as data types, variables, and control structures. They will gain hands-on experience in implementing these concepts using Python. - The introduction to the concept of modules, which contain pre-built functions and classes that can greatly enhance their programs. - How to create a computer game by utilizing the Pygame Zero module! No prior coding experience is required. The camp will be conducted in English, so it is important for your teenagers to feel comfortable speaking and listening in English, as well as having a basic level of reading and writing skills. Practical Information: 1) Location: Forum Campus Geesseknäppchen, 40 Bd Pierre Dupong, 1430 Luxembourg, room 9. 2) The activities will be held from 09:00 to 16:00 in two lessons of 3 hours each. The course fee is 390€. 3) Early arrival (08:00-09:00) or late pick up (16:00-17:00) options are available. Opting for early arrival or late pick up will provide additional practice time, the opportunity for questions, support, and other related activities. Additional cost for early arrival or late pick up 65€ each. Both early arrival and late pick up, 100€ addition. Please note that early arrival or late pick up of up to 15 minutes (after 08:45 or by 16:15) does not require registration for early arrival or late pick up.
