Robotics in educational activities Free event, Oct.13 For adults (Age 16+)


Course Description

📚 Event Overview: 🤖This event is the SECOND event out of a series of 4 events. Participation is FREE - registration required! There are no dependencies between the different events, you can register only to 1 or 2 that are most interesting and relevant for you, or to all of the 4 events! Same price, they are all free 😉 In these 4 full day events from 10:00 to 16:00, the participants will be exposed to content and teaching methodologies to be used in the domain, mainly for coding and robotics to work with kids ages 4-13. The event is open for participants ages 16+. (No kids participation) - The event is in English only | No prior knowledge is required! - Coffee, tea and light snacks available free! - Lunch break around 12:30, please bring something for yourself for lunch :) - Laptop needed for the 3rd event on October 13th - Coding and Scratch Each event day will include a theoretical part, hands on and practice and short observations of different activities. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment and do hands-on activities on their own / in small groups to get a better understanding of what their options are in terms of delivering such activities to their kids and students. Activities will be interactive, will involve and give the opportunity for all participants to take an active part. Brainstorming, discussions and use cases analysis will be done as part of the event, to have multiple views and approaches explored. October 13th: Robotics in educational activities, how to integrate into the classroom. In this event we will focus on robotics, we will understand what is an educational robot, how can it be used and integrated into the classroom. We will review and play with multiple types of robots compatible for students from the age of 3-4 and up to 14-15. We will understand how to design and deliver challenges and activities using educational robotics and practice hands on in delivering them. We will have several interactive and interesting discussions on the topic. For example, Is a challenge of reverse engineering with robotics suitable for kids ages 4-5? 8? 12?
